Here in Alberta it is -19C this early morning as we edge toward the end of November. The average daily high for 28 Nov is -1.7 deg. Today it will top out at -16, a mere 14.3 degrees below normal, last matched in 1955.
The record lowest daily high was -21.6 set way back in …. 2006.
To surpass that we have to go back to the 1890’s. So that has been vague warming over the past 125 years, but not much and not recently.
Crispin,
It is -21C here outside of Camrose (Central Alberta), at 10:53 this morning. Most certainly a wallop of deep cold for Nov 28. We had about 26 cm of snow (over a couple of days) in our 1st “staying” snowfall this year.
Grass is green here no frost yet W of Seattle. I’d never live East or North. Too cold every year no thanks. 52F here next week grass growing. Very reasonable.
Two inches snow forecast Ney York City next ten days. Almost eight inches in Colorado next ten days. Snow depth on Windy showing nothing in most all of all US next ten days. Crank the heat up drive anywhere you want.
Oz over 100F every day. S America and Africa over 100F. India 92F warmer than ave. Indian Ocean warmer than ave. West Pacific and N Atlantic Ocean warmer than ave. Big World out there, cold not the only news.
